Vernal Equinox Council 2008
A Nerf equinox council took place 2008-March-21/22/23 in New
York state. We discussed the upcoming regional
Anniversary gathering which a previous council had
consented to hold July 25 - August 3.
There seems to be enough money in the magic hat that it
is not a dire problem. We need food grade five gallon
buckets and water containers. The kitchen equipment
seems to be in fairly good shape. We are probably
short of water pipe.
Some of the Nerf water equipment (e.g. filters and
possibly a tank) will be taken to the Fourth of July
national gathering in Wyoming, but it should come back
before the regional.
There were two items of consensus:
- Nerf will not sign a permit without a consensus of
people on the land. (This was in response to a
proposal that someone who was not at the gathering
could mail in a signed permit, as happened once
before.)
- Next council will be Memorial Day weekend,
May 24,25,26 "around the bend" at Granville. This
means go past the usual places in the Forest west of
Granville Vermont, until the road crosses the White
River and doubles back on the other side. There should
be parking places on the right side of the road on the
other side of the river.

It happened as planned, but not much happened.
