So good to see – even If I can’t go, that we are gathering again in the flesh and in spirit too!

Hey now! 👋

We are headed west the 28th. Packing in and popping the kitchen overnight the 30th. Building the oven and feeding main circle the 1st. You can see updates and photos on the Nacho Mama's Kitchen page on fb if you want to check it out. Will be thinking of all the nerf family back east and sending all the good vibes your way.
Xoxo

    Just for the record -

This link goes to Steve Duncan's latest web domain pirating the "Rainbow" name. He heavily promoted the movies in Idaho'20 & NM'21, deft at hustling comms channels, going back to "welcomehere.org" 20+ years ago. Most curious, the "Howdy Folks" now coming from this source.

How can a “non-entity” hold a copyright?

Details identifying the Registrant are shielded by registration through a 3rd party company, "Domains By Proxy, LLC" - but the Nameservers belong to "Peace Conspiracy", which has been Duncan's proprietary venture (or non-profit front?) since about 2000.  At that time he created "Welcomehere.org" /(elbowing into Rob's legacy "Welcomehome.org" tag), /jumped in front of the Ozark regionals and totally fractured the regional folks & scene.

Putting his organization into an 'event-Sponsor' role seriously undermined our legal position as well: We were struggling in 'Permit' cases around he country (including Missouri!) to establish the gatherings as pure consensual assemblies, with no "Group" entity involved at all - and certainly not the putative "Rainbow Family".  THIS IS STILL AN ISSUE... Feds persist with this fiction, and Duncan's domain games hijacking the "Rainbow" name keep pandering to it.

Note that he also registered these domains 2 years ago - /"2020rainbowgathering.org", "rainbowgathering.org"/ - and became the main online mouthpiece for the 'Ronabow' event in Idaho, against the widely-shares wishes & Agreement" (consensus?) to NOT GO THERE.  It took huge efforts for months to avert a public health crisis & political disaster there in 2020. And to answer Ken's quip-query on the backside - there IS "misinformation" on these sites, albeit so nicely clad in pretty graphics and holy sanctimonies, to pull a bigger following from traditional reliable sources.

Yes, it's Fraud - but as you aptly note, the real "non-entity" cannot enforce a copyright:

"NO ONE CAN SPEAK FOR THE RAINBOW FAMILY" - because it does not exist.

     Fascinating conundrum, huh?

Hey Rob,

Maybe you remember me, or not. I met you once or twice at Rainbow gatherings, and once at the Free Software conference at Harvard.

For a long time I was embarrassed that I wasn't helping with the Flash video project, but I have neither expertise, nor, frankly, much interest in video. (Don't own a TV.)

I have a NERF rainbow web site at http://www.nerflings.org/
and a software web site at http://www.free-comp-shop.com/

I also maintain a mailing list for NERF rainbow. A recent discussion on that list brought up your name and web site.

The web site:
  http://www.welcomehome.org/sites/annual-site.html
says:

Directions won't be obvious til after Spring COuncil, which is sometime in early June.
I would love to talk to you again, but getting to COlorado is not happening now. Contrarywise, there may be some NERFlings headed out there soon, and there are some questions.

Where can one obtain directions to the site? Is the Howdy Folks on
  https://rainbowfamilygatherings.net/howdy-folks/
valid?

I don't own a TV either. :-) I'm currently in Nepal, so have been having issues trying to update my site over a really crappy Wifi connection. I attached a GPX file for Bus Village. Basically, go to Hayden, CO, north on CO 80 to the Bear's Ears Trailhead (FS 1144), and park.

Thank you for your reply. I had to reboot the DSL modem to get it.

Things fall apart; the center is on hold;
the network remains almost everywhere eventually n-connnected (n>0).

I envy your location; I can't walk uphill.

As one who remembers when it was a big deal that Walter Cronkite could talk to a guy in London, I am impressed.

At first I thought GPX? WTF? But it looks fine in ASCII. The Latitude does not match that given in the Howdy Folks.

I will put something on my web site.

Everyone seems to agree on CO-80, I will leave it to the kitchen scouts on the land to decide where they are, and to the lawyers to decide who has a right to post the Howdy Folks.

It's probably different from the Howdy Folks as it's the trailhead, not main meadow.

CO 80 to FS 1144, Bear's Ears trail. it's near California Park. We found this site for the last annual, but decided to use the Big Red site instead, as it was better.
