Rap H2O — Water Is Life
May you never be thirsty.
May you always have all that you need.
Good water gives us energy.
Just 'cause it comes from a tap doesn't mean it is safe to drink.
Boil unfiltered water for twenty minutes if you do not want to be sick, however, be aware that boiling does not remove chemicals nor toxic metals.
.1 Micron filters will remove bacteria and protect us from giardia
Consider elevation - the higher you are, the more time is needed to boil for sanitation.
And, filtering will not remove all viruses;
Virus comes from human and animal waste.
So, bury that shit.
BURY YOUR SHIT at least 200 feet away from any running
water source, down hill if possible.
We are water protectors.
Protect all water sources and stay out of delicate spring areas.
Keep all soaps out of springs, streams or the pond-remember, other plants and animals use this water too, and their ecosystem is fragile!
Use a bucket to bathe at least 100 feet away from water sources and avoid camping within 200 feet of water.
Live water, filtered water -
Keep it separated and avoid cross contamination.
SANITIZE YOUR HANDS before you refill any water vessel, and do not touch the vessel to the spout.
(Don't touch your thing to the thing.)
All kitchens protect family health by providing sanitizer at all water refill stations.
Remember to bring water bliss:
Carrying a personal water vessel will make it easier to stay hydrated and protect your personal health. Protecting your own health protects the health of the entire community.
Water is life. May you never be thirsty.
If water is life, what is bleach water?
The Bleach-Water Gospel
The Rainbow Gatherings have used a simple tool wisely for
cleanliness::: Bleach-Water.
In the current Covid-19 crisis, we can take this Gospel to the
street, and bring it home as a handy way to be safe. All you need
— a little bleach & a spray bottle — cheap and easy to get,
for everybody.
As for How Much bleach to blend with water, we get mixed
messages on The Mix:
Checking recent sources, part of the confusion is that different
mixes are recommended for ‘Disinfecting’ (e.g., hospital surfaces)
vs. ‘Sanitizing’ (dishes, hands, etc.). Also note that the
concentration of NaOCl (sodium hypochlorite) in commercial bleach
can vary between 5.00-8.25%, and the potency depletes over time —
so adjust the mix accordingly.

Latest science says that Disinfecting @ 1000 ppm will kill the
SARS-CoV-2 virus*:
1/3 cup 5% bleach / 1 gal. water = 1.33 Tbs. / qt ≈ 1000 ppm…
(OR)
1/5 cup 8.25% bleach / 1 gal. water = 0.81 Tbs. / qt. ≈ 1000
ppm
Useful Units: 2 Tbs = 1 oz. … 8 oz. = 1 cup … 16 cups = 1 gal.
You can take the spray-bottle on shopping trips to spritz
much-touchy spots (door handles, shopping carts, gas pumps, etc.)
as a public service. ;-)
Users are advised to let the solution soak on the surface a minute
and/or air-dry.
Normal household & campsite “sanitizing” with bleach is OK
in the 100-200 ppm range, but the safe mix might be stiffer during
the Coronavirus lockdown — U Do The Math, OR…
Public Health Ontario offers a convenient online "Chlorine
Dilution Calculator" —

— (with English or Metric measures, as you choose).
Hope this is helpful to be healthy…
