Where was the 2022 National Gathering?

Colorado. For Bus Village, go to Hayden, CO, north on Routt County 80 to the Bear's Ears Trailhead (FS 1144), and park. It's near California Park.

No doubt you will meet someone who knows where main circle is. Maybe it's here:

There are about 69 miles per degree of latitude, so those two places are about 5 miles apart. A more accurate calculation is not worth the trouble, since what really matters is how steep the trail and how it meanders.

If you search for Bears Ears, you will find it is in Utah, but if you search for FS-1144 you may find https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/mbr/recarea/?recid=22840 which says:

Trail #1144 Non-motorized, multi-use. Provides easy access to the 1144 Bears Ears trail system. It is located in the California Park/Black Mountain area and is managed by the Hahns Peak/Bears Ears Ranger District.

It has a map which, if zoomed out, shows Craig and Hayden, Colorado.

It has more directions, and warns that it is better to go through Craig than through Hayden, due to a locked gate.
